With its lace and doves, this Immaculate Heart is a companion piece to a lovely old Sacred Heart holy card. The seven swords are the Seven Sorrows of Mary. We love the roses and the small rosary on the basket below. We've restored this image towards its original beauty, where the vibrancy of the colors reflects the intensity of both the joys and the sorrows of Mary, and most of all her love for God, her Son, and for all people.

There is a richness to vintage Catholic art which we love. Not to take anything away from the modernist and minimalist tastes of much of the art of recent decades, which can be wonderful, too, but we like the old altarpieces and churches full of beauty. They're beautiful and part of our Catholic tradition. This piece is part of that tradition. For framing this one, we suggest you keep it light. Something silver-toned or gold, or a light wood like a light, thin oak. You don't need to matte it unless you want to keep the glass off the surface, otherwise the lace and the border around the picture are plenty enough visual space, in our opinion anyway. All our prints are standard sizes, so it's easy to find a good frame at your local Hobby Lobby or online.
